Inside the CrateShot™ Bench Build

The CrateShot™ Bench turns the UbeCube system into a centralized storage and work station for range, hunting, and field gear. It is more than a stack of crates, but it also avoids the limitations of a permanent cabinet. The result is a build that can store larger equipment, organize smaller supplies, and keep frequently used gear within reach.

Storage Becomes the Workbench

The bench uses a 12-crate base arranged three crates wide, two crates deep, and two crates high. A full wood top creates a continuous surface for packing range bags, cleaning equipment, sorting supplies, or preparing for the next trip.

The wood top and lower frame give the build a more permanent, furniture-like appearance while the UbeCube foundation remains modular. Wood components are not included, so builders can choose their own material, finish, overhang, and final bench height.

Different Storage for Different Gear

The main face of the bench uses Locker MOD Panels to create enclosed compartments. This keeps loose equipment concealed while allowing each crate to remain independently accessible.

Larger compartments can hold items such as range bags, shooting rests, cleaning supplies, hearing protection, clothing, targets, and field equipment. Inside the crates, CrateShelves, Grab Bins, and CrateFiles can divide that space into more useful storage zones.

Grab Bins are especially useful for smaller items that need to be carried to the work surface, while shelves prevent equipment from becoming buried at the bottom of a crate. CrateFiles can organize targets, manuals, checklists, and other flat supplies vertically.

Instead of forcing every type of gear into the same cabinet layout, each crate can be configured around what it actually needs to hold.

Turning the Outside Into Useful Space

The end of the bench functions as an exterior gear wall.

Hooks and holders use the crate grid to store bulky or awkward items that may not fit neatly inside a compartment. In this build, the exterior carries a backpack, folding chair, saws, tools, and a coiled cord without taking up room inside the crates or across the worktop.

This attachment space can also be used for slings, straps, shooting mats, gloves, tool rolls, or other equipment that needs to stay easy to grab.

Because the attachments can be repositioned, the exterior layout can change as the gear loadout changes.

Built to Be Reconfigured

The photographed CrateShot™ Bench is one complete setup, not a fixed formula.

Builders can add more Locker MOD Panels for concealed storage, leave compartments open for visibility, increase the number of shelves and bins, or dedicate more exterior space to frequently used equipment.

That flexibility is what separates the bench from conventional garage storage. The structure can stay in place while the organization inside and around it continues to evolve.
