Building Maintenance Technician

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

UbeCube is a small start-up injection molding facility with great potential.  Our main focus is our patented storage cube (look us up!).  We are also interested in OEM injection molding.  Our ideal candidate for this position will be someone who is ready to help build this small company to realize its potential through excellent teamwork and dedication. 

The maintenance technician is responsible for miscellaneous maintenance and repair of the building facilities.  This position reports directly to the Building Maintenance Manager and works closely with him to create a safe, clean, and well-kept facility for UbeCube and its team.

Prospective applicants must have knowledge in the various building trades including: janitorial, electrical, plumbing, drywall, HVAC, and carpentry; a minimum of three years of experience with facility maintenance and safety requirements; knowledge of and ability to operate miscellaneous hand tools, power tools and large equipment such as lawn maintenance equipment, floor machines, forklifts, etc. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the UbeCube facilities are clean and safe at all times.

  • Completing assigned maintenance repair tasks including but not limited to:

    • Drywall repair – patching, painting

    • Carpentry repair – doors, molding. Furnishings, cabinets

    • Plumbing repair – toilets, sinks, bathrooms and kitchens

    • Electrical – maintain lights interior & exterior, light fixtures

    • HVAC – filters, grills, belts

    • General maintenance and safety

    • Help maintain the cleanliness of the building – garbage removal, sweeping and mopping floors, parking lot clean up, lawn care

    • Assist in vehicle maintenance and repair

    • Assisting in the creation of preventable maintenance and repair schedule.

    • Runs errands as directed

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Education or Equivalent.  Must have 3-5 years of practical work experience in building maintenance.

  • Strong diverse background in all facets of the maintenance technician trade

  • Self-starter, must be able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-motivation.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Demonstrate superior communication skills (written and verbal), teamwork, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrate the ability to think out of the box, recommend options and be creative.

  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS products (Word and Excel) is preferred.
